Galilee

The Galilee is a mountainous region in Israel’s north, and is divided into two main parts - the Upper Galilee to the north and the Lower Galilee to the south.

The Galilee is a mountainous region in Israel’s north, and is divided into two main parts - the Upper Galilee to the north and the Lower Galilee to the south.
The Galilee has an abundance of important sites. For example, there is the well preserved and restored old city of Acre, the ancient towns of Safed and Tiberias plus the Christian holy sites of Nazareth and Capernaum as well as natural treasures such as the sources of the Jordan River and Lake Kineret or the Sea of Galilee.
With a large concentration of historical sites, natural beauty and breathtaking landscapes it is easy to see what makes Galilee so unique.
